The Flavor Experience

No matter the time of day, you’re bound to find this at the center of our holiday table! A sweet loaf of cakey bread, our Panettone takes multiple days to make, because you can’t rush perfection. Made with all-butter, this moist Italian sweet bread loaf is filled with oversized chocolate chips, for a sweet take on a familiar, typically fruit-filled classic. It’s a dense, doughy delight we wish we could enjoy year round!

The Story

First originating in Milan, Panettone is a traditional Italian treat, whose dough rises three times over almost 20 hours, before baking, giving Panettone its distinctive, light texture. Made in the Abruzzo region of Italy, our Private Collection Panettone is crafted from an old Italian family recipe, kept in Danilo D'Amario's family for ages.

Usage Tips

Not satisfied enjoying it on its own with family after dinner? Have we got a recipe for you! Chocolate Panettone French toast! The morning after your family gathering, slice up the remaining loaf and whip up your favorite French toast recipe. Dunk, fry, flip, and indulge in the sweetest brunch dish you’ve ever had. Top with mascarpone cheese and crushed Cinnful Cocoa Pecans for an added indulgence.

Please note there is a 3-unit maximum order on this product.

Why It's Awesome
Legend has it the name “panettone” comes from an old Italian phrase (“pan del ton”) meaning “cake of luxury.” True or not, we agree!

It's impossible to take even a small bite without having almost a mouthful of chocolate bits. It's really quite wonderful.

Having been to Italy, this panettone is definitely a taste of Italy!! We love to slice it, spread a thin bit of butter with a little sugar and cinnamon and toast it. It created a light and golden delicate crunch that literally melts in you mouth. Also delicious just as it is. Highly recommend!

This cake was not for me, but was a gift for someone for Christmas, but they raved about it, and said it was the best Panettone they ever had! I'm going to order one for myself now!
