Description: These recently discovered fruity peppers are sweet and fiery, and adds a crunch to any dinner dish or marinade.
Found in the Limpopo province of South Africa, this piquante pepper was first discovered in 1993 and introduced to the food market later that decade. Its name derives from “pepper” and “dew” has often been described as a cross between a pepper and a tomato. With its sweet, fruity flavor and a touch of peppery heat, the cherry-tomato-sized Peppadew is perfect when stuffed with cream cheese, goat cheese, or even feta. They are also wonderful when added to many kebabs, alongside ripened brie, in crab salad, and omelets; the African fruit adds a fiery afterglow to any favorite dish.
