Italy has more culinary specialties than any other country in the world and a growing number of these specialties are now being protected under European Union regulations such as the D.O.P and I.G.P. D.O.P stands for 'denominazione di origine protetta' or 'Protected designation of Origin.' This special label applies only to agricultural and food products whose properties are essentially or exclusively derived from their geographical environment, inclusive of natural and human factors, and whose production, transformation and processing are effected in the place of origin.
This Bartolini Olive Oil is harvested from 100% Umbrian olives, and carries grassy, full-bodied characteristics with an intensely fruity robust flavor and a peppery finish. It is a blend of Moraiolo /Leccino and Frantoio olives which give its rich green and gold color. Use on grilled fish and meats as well as on vegetables, risotto, pasta and salad.
